For over 35 years, ADRIQ has celebrated excellence in innovation through its Innovation Awards Gala, the essential event for key players in research, innovation, technology, and economic development in Quebec.
This year, nearly 70 applications were evaluated by a selection committee of 11 leaders representing the various segments of Quebec’s innovation ecosystem. Following this rigorous process, the finalists for the 2026 Innovation Awards were selected.
These organizations and individuals stand out for their boldness, creativity, capacity for innovation, and the tangible impact of their projects on Quebec.

An exceptional builder in the spotlight
Geneviève Tanguay
Special Advisor in the Office of the Senior Executive at the National Research Council Canada (NRC)
ADRIQ is proud to present the 2026 Bernard-Landry Award to Geneviève Tanguay.
A key figure in Quebec’s research and innovation ecosystem, Geneviève Tanguay has dedicated over 35 years to building bridges between the academic, industrial, and government sectors.
Her remarkable career has included serving as Assistant Deputy Minister at Quebec’s Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade, as well as holding the presidency of Acfas.
As the first woman appointed Vice-Rector of Research, Creation, and Innovation at the Université de Montréal, and subsequently the first woman to serve as Vice-President of Research at the National Research Council Canada, she has helped pave the way for future generations of female researchers and leaders. She also served as Deputy Chief Science Advisor of Canada from 2023 to 2025.
Through her exceptional career, leadership, and commitment to the next generation and to women in STEM, Geneviève Tanguay truly embodies the spirit of the Bernard-Landry Award.

Presented by Polytechnique Montréal
Awarded to a Quebec student who presented, as part of the Super Expo-sciences Hydro-Québec, a project that provides an original technical solution to a concrete problem and demonstrates strong commercial potential.
The winner will be announced at the night of the Gala.

This award recognizes startups that stand out for their innovation, potential, and ability to address real-world challenges.
The call for applications is now closed. The 10 finalist startups will be announced in the coming weeks and will have the opportunity to showcase their projects at the 36th Innovation Awards Gala, taking place on November 26 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
The winner will then be selected by a jury of high school and college students, in collaboration with the Réseau Technoscience.
